Looking down the north aisle from the high altar. Note the dramatic contrast between the Norman piers and the decorated arcade on Rahere's memorial, added in the early 15th century. The canopy may have been designed by Henry Yevele, who designed the reconstruction of Westminster Hall.

The tomb of Sir Bernard Brocas, in St. Edmund's Chapel, Westminster, is contemporary with Rahere's canopy tomb, and shares many of the same "architectural" features.
